It's Another DIY Project from Spoon Handles

I'm loving making earrings from spoon and fork handles and you'll find  lots of them in my Etsy shop.  But, if you're the crafty type and want to give it a try for yourself you can see how I make mine in this video tutorial.

Just a word of caution, you will need to use your Dremel on this one and there will likely be a few sparks.  But don't let that stop you, you'll be just fine if you use the proper safety precautions.  And if you're still not so sure about tackling this one on your own, look what you can find in my shop:

So, are you going to give it a go?

    1. The spoons are easy...Goodwill, yard sales, etc. The time part, well, you're on your own there. But if you find a way to make it happen I'd love to hear all about it!

  4. These are so beautiful! How heavy are they? My ears are really sensitive, but I want a pair as long as they're not heavy. :)

    1. Thanks, Lisa. It really depends on the original quality of the silverware and how big the piece is. As it turns out three of the designs are 0.2 ounce (for each earring) and one of them (the tarnished heart) is only 0.1 ounce per earring. I'm updating my Etsy listings now to include that info, so if you click the pic it take you right to the description. Thanks for asking!

    1. Thanks, Jazmin. It's a fun project to do with Grandma's old flatware. You're sure to have that fabulous vintage look while having something with great sentiment attached to it as well.
